Exploring on Friday
We finally got to try out the raft Santa gave us for Christmas, and the rechargeable pump that Jason got for his birthday! It was nice for Jason to keep kids busy (and feeling helpful) with the old pump, while he used the quicker one.
Jason used Christmas money from G&G to get life jackets, thank you, they came in handy!!
Makayla proved to be just the right size for rowing the boat, and she was pretty good at it!
A pelican came by.
Derek was quite taken with the pelican. They seemed to get along, and we kept warning Derek to keep his distance. Eventually the pelican attempted to peck at Derek's toes, and we had to distance Derek from his new friend.
Malia was wishing our pelican friend was around to feed these little fish to when we told her they were too small to keep, and we had to let them go.
By the time we got back Saturday afternoon, unpacked, did about 6 loads of laundry, dishses, etc. and I finally got 3 of our 4 the kids to bed (Makayla was at a friend's house helping in the yard shortly after we got home and got back shortly after the others went to bed), I wasn't sure I would be able to still be awake when Jason got home from the youth conference dance in Medford. Somehow I did. I think the excitement of knowing that soon we're going to look at houses we had been looking at on the internet kicked it!! Things are moving right along, and we'll keep you posted on the house hunting/selling!!!

Ah, that sounds soooo fun! The camping and the house hunting. :)
The pictures were so fun! Is there anything that MAKAYLA IS NOT GOOD AT? I don't think so!! That pelican was cool!! I can't believe he let you get so close to him!! I am not a big camping fan but I'll confess that did look like a lot of fun!! Hope things continue to go well in the housing department!! :)
That looked like a lot of fun!! Though a lot of work for Mom & Dad :-) Camping in June! That's one thing you can't do in Texas! We're excited to hear about house hunting!
The raft looks way fun! I need to see some pictures of this new house. Grandma said it was very nice! I'm so excited for you! :)
