We were so spoiled this weekend! We went up to Portland to see Katie, Chris and the kiddos. It was so much fun. We played games, learned why it's called "March Madness" (with all of those upsets), saw a waterfall, went for walks, talked, played, laughed, snuggled sweet Taylor, got some Nike gear (Thank you! Makayla is living in her stuff already, and the girls starting using their soccer balls at practice tonight) and just enjoyed being together.
The kids enjoyed watching "Hop" on the way up (thanks G&G), and Jared and Malia loved that we got in so many hours of hearing/reading, "The Last Olympian". Being with family is what it's all about. Made me wish all of the family could be together. Percy Jackson is right, "Hope survives best at the hearth" !
