Easter 2009

It's crazy to think that Easter has come and gone!
Saturday morning Malia had her soccer game. Her team name is "White Lightning". The team they played had a boy that was pretty unstoppable. Malia slowed him down a little, and she managed to score a goal. We thought of Uncle Jeremey coaching, and hoping they were doing well!
We had a short break, then it was off to Makayla's game. Her team name is "Blue Thunder". They won, and Makayla scored a goal! She was pretty excited about being one of the team captains for this game.
Next we had our Easter egg hunt. Makayla and Malia took off like horses at the race track! Jared managed to hold his own. Derek was just happy to be carried around in the backpack. After enjoying some of the spoils, we dyed eggs, had dinner, bathed kids, enjoyed Dr. Quinn, and off to bed, so the Easter Bunny could come.
Easter morning, Jason was sad to leave for a meeting and miss the kids enjoy their baskets. Malia was the most awake and animated before he left. All morning she kept looking for clues that the Easter Bunny had visited us. She was thrilled to find a gray patch on our driveway, she was sure was a patch of fur, that got left behind!
Malia was nervous to give a talk in Primary, but she did a good job. I was amazed when we were sitting down for dinner, and reporting to Dad how sacrament meeting went. From where I was sitting it didn't seem like they were paying much attention, but when Jason quizzed them I was pretty dumbfounded at how well the girls could summarize what the speakers talked about! I seriously underestimated these firecrackers! Jared is such a surprise too. His favorite music to listen to in the car is church music...
All in all, a pretty fun weekend!

Thank you! The kids look so adorable in their new Easter outfits! I always try to imagine how they will look but they always look so much cuter than what I imagined! The little girls look gorgeous - Daddy better beware - he is going to have a tough job in the coming years!! The little boys look very handsome too! I love Jared's cool new "wheels"!! The bunny ears were too fun! We miss, miss, miss you all!!!

What cute kids!! Kennedy has a dress that kind of matches the girls, but her dress is turquoise and has sleeves. She was pretty excited to see your girls in their dresses. Thanks for sharing the fun things you've been up to. We miss you too!

Don't kids make everything so much more fun! The holidays are truly magical with little ones. And they all look so cute in their Easter outfits. I think Mom and I did a good job in picking them out... I was talking with mom and realized I think I've been her Easter outfit shopping assistant at least three years in a row now. What is she going to do without me next year?!

What a good looking family! It's always fun to see the cute outfits that Grandma picks out, too. Your girls are such great soccer players! How do you keep up with two games every Saturday?!
