So, Friday was my birthday. It got off to a rocky start, scrubbing blood stains out of Malia's comforter (she apparently got a bloody nose during the night and used it as a kleenex...she claims she thought it was mucous from a snotty nose...), a trip to the Dr...for antibiotics for Malia's ear infection...three other sick kids...then I thought about all the times I've told the kids that a bad attitude doesn't make the problems go away...and I thought I'd better practice what I preach. By the time my mother-in-law called to wish me Happy Birthday I could actually laugh a little about it. After the birthday banner and streamers were up, the cake was baked and Jared sang Happy Birthday to me a few times, I started feeling even better. Shel called and I was remembering the gift and card Miriam gave me, I was very humbled. My cup runneth over!

I can't thank you all enough for your well wishes, just knowing that you're thinking of me and my family, phone calls, emails, cards in the mail,gifts...fills me with love and gratitude for Heavenly Father's tender mercies...He has sent me all of you! My kids are so sweet and generous. They were so happy picking out inexpensive gifts, balloons and cards...they're also a big reason why the day was special! It made me smile to see them so excited about simple things like Papa Murphy's, cake and ice-cream, and Dr. Quinn...wait, I was looking forward to those things too! :) Saturday there were some fun deliveries, the celebration kept going :)! The kids have been good sports about my nose being in the book Jason gave me! And I'm really looking forward to shopping for some church clothes :)...!!! (Thank you :))
