On our way

Derek banged his eye two days in a row! The lid was running into the microwave cart, under the eye was from falling off a chair and banging it somewhere on the computer desk while I was making Malia's FHE treats. Poor guy! Mobility comes with a price, doesn't it?

We had parent teacher conferences today. They went very well. Can you believe, Malia has read over 300 books? I'll have to talk more about them later. Jason said if I want to come home to laminate floors, I have to stop "playing" on the computer!

There is so much to love about this post! Jared and Makayla's trampoline hair makes me giggle! Too cute! Malia's 300 books? Seriously, are we really surprised? That girl LOVES her books! Isn't it nice that she can finally read them to herself though. Although personally, I love snuggling and reading her books! The dollhouse looks fabulous! I especially love Ken on the couch watching TV while Barbie is lying on the floor. The picture of Jared helping Dad is too cute!! Bet you will miss all that help while they're gone!! :) Can't wait to see the finished project!!! I did notice that you have no padding under that carpet! Yikes!! No wonder your kids thought Grandma and Grandpa had such soft carpet!!! Derek's poor little eye! How in the world do they ever survive? Good thing they are tough! Have fun in California!!

I agree with Janet -- so much to love in that post! Poor Derek. His eye is probably painful, but I love that shade of purple above his eye! And I am very impressed with Malia's books. Is that just for this year, or just ever? Either way, that's amazing! I am totally jealous of that dollhouse. What lucky girls you have!

Ooooh! I can't wait to see the finished results. That will be so nice. I'm impressed Jas. You are always so good at figuring out how to do things. And Malia... you know the teacher in me is soooo proud of you for all of the great reading you've done. You always have loved books and that is so great! Give that little Derek a smooch for us.
