We got in on a Saturday afternoon. By Monday the kids were willing to get in the car again and head over to Shoshone Falls! Although we'd lived in Idaho for three years while Jason went to ISU for his Masters in Physical Therapy, (Makayla was only about 2 and 1/2 months old when we moved up there, and was almost three when we moved to Grants Pass. Malia was born in Pocatello, and was almost 5 months old when we moved to GP. Jason grew up in Pocatello) I'd never been to the falls before! SO beautiful, and breathtaking!
There's a lake just up the road that we enjoyed as well. Malia, Makayla, Grandpa and Jason swam to an island probably about 50 yards away. Watching Grandpa and Makayla walk around on the island reminded Grandma of Robinson Crusoe and his girl Friday.
We all know how sweet Grandma is. Apparently fish think so too! While she was sitting on the dock, with her feet in the water, a fish swam up and bit her on the ankle. There was a red mark for awhile!
On our way to getting delicious Jamba Juice we stopped over at the grounds of the Twin Falls temple. We LOVE to see the temple!!
Idaho has a rugged beauty. We stopped at a lookout point before heading back to Pocatello.
Monday night with Grandma and Grandpa means fun FHE!! The kids were to pick out a dress up article when they missed a question pertaining to the lesson G&G taught. The kids did so well, they didn't get too many articles. Naturally, they had to try them all on afterwards!
Makayla thought the delicious treats were fit for a wedding!
Grandma was surprised at Grandpa's sticker choice!

Ah, this is is the life!! And it was only the beginning of the week! :)

I'm glad you guys have had a chance to get away and have some fun in the midst of your crazy move. Grandma and Grandpa sure know how to have some fun, huh?!
Such cute pictures of Grandma's cuties!! How we miss those cute faces to wake up to each day!! You captured lots of fun memories with those pictures!! Does this mean your phone and internet are working again? yea!!
