Pocketful of sunshine

It's fun to see him figuring out how to play in his saucer.

I'm pretty sure Makayla took this shot. She is getting to be quite the photographer.
Makayla makes me laugh. A few weeks ago we were walking home from school, and we walked by a house across the street and down a ways that's been unfinished for years. She said when she grows up and gets married she is going to live there, so her kids will be lucky and live close to their grandparents.

How exciting to see him sit long enough for a shot! Jason thinks its funny how Derek prefers sitting to playing on his tummy. Perhaps he'll take after his Aunt Miriam and walk before crawling :)

I can't get over how quickly Derek is growing!

He really enjoys spending time with his big brother who usually calls him, "baby Derek"

The three musketeers! (The fourth, "D'artanian", is at school).

You can tell when Jared isn't happy when he says, "You're not my best buddy, (it's usually Mom, but sometimes it's Dad)-- cry". On the flip side he's been quick to point out recently, "That wasn't very nice, was it?"

Jared loves to drive! He often gets in the driver's seat of the van while I'm taking Derek into the house and pretends to drive. There have been times when I start the car, and the turn signal will start blinking, or the windshield wipers start going because Jared has played with the controls . He's thrilled about having his own "car computer". He says, "It's fantastic!"
I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing, but this little rascal knows how to plug the car in to his t.v. all by himself. There have been times when I go looking for Jboy and hearing the music for the game, I think he's in his room...but nope, he's off somewhere else!

Malia enjoys taking Derek for rides.
He seems to like it equally well.
Tutu (my maternal grandma) gave me that laundry basket when I went to college. I'm surprised it's held up after 4 kids have used it this way.

Time flies. I remember finding Makayla curled up in her little clothes drawer like this when she was about 18 months old. I can't believe this is baby #4! After all of the rides with the Malia Express, our little guy had to recharge his battery!

What a cute family. I can't really say little because it has seriously grown. What fun. I better there is always action at the Hatt's house! Thanks for posting so many cute pictures for us to check out. We wish that we could see you all more often. We have been planning our trip to Disney World and Kennedy is thrilled. I think we may go down and do Sea World or Bush Gardens when Brian returns from his deployment. It's always fun to have something to look forward too.

Suzy - Wow - Thank you, thank you, thank you! How Grandma and Grandpa miss those cute kids! It is so fun to be able to see and read about all the cute things they say and do because our grandchildren aren't lucky enough to live near to us and vice versa! It is going to seem like a long wait until we get to see you in August! It's shaping up to a busy summer though!!! Hugs and kisses to all - big and small!
