Sand through a sieve
What a whirlwind these past few days have been! The weather's been crazy, this was the last week of school, Jared got over a fever, Derek's teething, and I'm trying to plan a summer that's just the right amount of busy... :) Looking at these pictures I was reminded of a line from a song in Mary Poppins. Bert, the chimney sweep, is singing about how childhood slips like sand through a sieve, and all too soon they've up and grown, and then they've flown...Makayla and I were talking at the park today. She was remembering going to a friend's house in Pocatello, but wasn't sure why we went so often...I told her we babysat the boys while their mom went to school. I was surprised, she was only 2!...In some ways those days seem so long ago, and in some ways they seem like it was yesterday!

I know - can you believe how fast they are growing up!
Derek is standing all alone! How do they grow up so fast?! Seriously...I still have so many memories of little Makayla. It's wonderful to see her growing to be such a sweet and beautiful girl! I am NOT looking forward to potty training. What do you do with the boys??? When we get there (which will be soon enough) I will be happy for any tricks or tips you have!! Take notes!
What a week- teething, learning to walk, potty training, last days of school- along with everything else! Like you said, time passes so fast and it's great that you've captured these little important moments!
