Some fall favorites

Two Sundays ago, the kids were issued a challenge in Primary to memorize the 10 commandments in order. The reward was a king size candy bar of their choice for those who could recite them to a member of the Primary Presidency. Boy was that an incentive for our kiddos! Jared even learned them! I was surprised at how rusty I was! Last week they did it! One of the Presidency members was surprised when she couldn't find king size, but as you can see the kids were very satisfied with what they got! It was heart warming to hear glowing reviews, and impressed teachers and leaders. Today a parent asked how old Jared was, and she said she was going to go home today and memorize them!
It's time for the Primary Program! I love how the kids are more actively coming up with answers to questions. Malia came up with this answer all by herself! When she didn't want to pick up her dinosaur mess this morning, it was an excellent opportunity to talk about applying what she said she would do... :)
Makayla is supposed to tell one of the miracles of Jesus in her own words.(She had a little help from the New Testament reader, but I'm still pleased!) She typed it and embellished it all on her own.
Jared outgrew his spiderman tennis shoes. We got him some new ones. Derek is wearing them, on the wrong feet. :) (Spiderman is one of the boys' favorites).
Derek loves this shark book we borrowed from the library, and that his pumpkin jammies from last Halloween still fit!

Jared is happy about the jammies still fitting too!

Kennedy was shocked with how grown up Makayla looks. She asked how old she is, and I told her. She responded, "Holy smokes!" I agree! Very impressive job at the memorization! Love and miss you all!
