Camping and a "Face lift"

Ah, another eventful weekend. Thursday morning Jared woke up with what looked like a very mild allergic reaction on his face. By noon it had spread to his back, chest, neck, and thighs. His spots were a candy apple red, and his cheeks looked like he was burning up. I thought in the wake of his strep it might be scarlet fever. Yet he had no fever, and it didn't seem to bother him. I thought maybe since he had been taking antibiotics, it wasn't full blown scarlet fever. Anyway, Jason told me not to take him in until he had a look. When he got home, we went to the doctor. He said it was a virus, that would just disappear in a few days. Benadryl would help with the itch. So, off they went to camp.

Meanwhile back at the Hatt house I was cleaning carpets, reclaiming the top of the fridge and Jason's and my room, a little dejunking/reorganizing/fixing, cleaning light fixtures and pictures, and lots and lots of painting! Don't worry, I did squeeze in a little time for leafing through magazines, and playing a few computer games! And enjoying a special dessert two nights in a row (Thanks Elisha!) :) Jason asked if I got done all that I wanted to accomplish. I told him of course not. My list of places to purge, things to fix and clean is inexhaustible! :) & :(! I guess that's just the nature of the beast! :) But I LOVE it! :)

oooh, a little time alone... what a fun break. Isn't that the truth though - there's too much to ever get done. What a good husband you have, Suzy! So sweet to take the kids and give you a break. He's a pretty special guy, huh?! :)

What a beautiful place to camp! I used to love it when Morgan took the kids "hunting" with Grandma Hatt so I could have some alone time to enjoy! Grandma loved it too - that is until the teenage boys started wanted to hang out in the camper with the girls instead of go hunt with the boys!! :) Gotta love it!!!

What a great idea! Sounds like everyone had fun. It's such a great feeling to be able to cross some things off your "to do" list, huh? That rash looks horrible! Ethan had the same thing happen after he got strep. I hope everyone is healthy now!
