Battle of the Books
This afternoon was the final competition. Makayla was the spokesperson. After coming from behind, Makayla's team (Winning Readers) came out victorious. The winning question went something like this, "In what book did the main character read from a paper that was folded, rolled, and unrolled so many times that the writing looked like gray smudges?" The answer, "Lunch Money, by Andrew Clements", and Makayla was the only one on her team who had read the book! It was an exciting competition.
