Can't believe another Halloween has come and gone! It's been a fun month. Friday the girls had parties at school. Malia looked way too grown up carrying her cupcakes in to school Friday morning. Makayla was excited about having carmel apples made in the classroom, and to be contributing bags of carmel. Friday night three wards in our stake had a party at the stake center. It was really fun. We contributed cookies to the cookie walk booth. Jared really liked watching them get decorated. After we went trick or treating to rooms in the stake center, there was food, and different games to play. The kids had a great time.
Last night we got together with some friends for a yummy dinner and some trick or treating. Jason said that by the end of trick or treating, Derek was getting the hang of it. He would walk up to the door and hold out his little hand waiting for the candy.
We were visiting some friends today and one of them commented on how it didn't seem like Derek was ever a baby, and I feel like that too; like I blinked and it was over... :(
Here are some clips of our Halloween celebrating!

Looks like lots of Halloween fun! Your cookies were very impressive, Suzy! The costumes from the costume exchange were awesome! That is such a great idea - why did I not ever think of that? The treat baskets from a patient were sooo cute! That was really sweet and thoughtful! And Suzy, it is amazing what a cute little cow you make :)! Sorry we missed all the Halloween fun but not sorry to miss the kids all bouncing off the walls for the next week or so until the candy runs out or mysteriously disappears! :)
You guys know how to party too! Looks like tons of fun. I totally agree... the cookies look darling and so was the cow. You're a good sport - I don't even attempt costumes for me. :) And of course, the kids looked awesome, but Makayla was a pretty scary vampire. I will still always remember the drama of what she wanted to be that Halloween I was visiting - I think she ended up as a cowgirl and it all worked out after all the frustration and tears, huh?! :)
So, I assume the barfing was all about eating too many cookies?? Looks like the patients spoil the kids! That was a great costume suzy!!! I always just wear my halloween scrubs from the good ole' days! Creative..I know!!! PaRtY on!
I'm so mad- My computer is freezing up so I didn't get to see all the pictures but you all looked so cute in your costumes! Suzy, you look like one of the kids! Sounds like you had a memoriable and fun Halloween!
